About the Role

The Strategic Sales Executive will act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying business opportunities, qualifying prospects, and driving value-based sales engagements. This role focuses on business development, opportunity qualification, and articulating the impact of solutions on business outcomes. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound sales motions to develop new client opportunities.
  • Develop a territory of clients aligned to a specific vertical (healthcare, media or manufacturing).
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities.
  • Research and assemble pitching materials using Google Slides or PowerPoint, collaborating with the marketing team as needed.
  • Calculate deal size and margin, leveraging past deal engineering experience to structure and price deals effectively.
  • Qualify sales opportunities based on client needs, strategic fit, and revenue potential, developing leads through our 8-stage sales process.
  • Engage in channel partnership sales, incorporating partner solutions into our offerings.
  • Demonstrate a strategic approach to closing deals, understanding key levers to move deals forward and overcome complexity.
  • Articulate the business value of solutions, aligning offerings with client objectives and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and drive client success.

About You

The essentials:

  • 5+ years of experience in successful sales, business development, or client solutions with a track record of meeting quotas and KPIs.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience selling professional services, cloud migration, and/or data & AI solutions.
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth and building client relationships and repeat customers and referrals.
  • Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills.
  • Previous SaaS CRM software experience (Hubspot or SFDC).
  • Previous experience with business development tools like Zoom Info, Linkedin Sales Navigator, Gartner, Forester etc.
  • Ability to assess client needs and translate them into actionable sales strategies.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification and value-based selling.
  • Relationship-building and stakeholder management expertise.
  • Negotiation skills and deal closing.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Relevant technical certifications (AWS, GCP, OCI, Nvidia) preferred but not required.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
