About the role
Monks is looking for an experienced Strategy Director to join our MEA office to lead account strategy across digital touchpoints (inclusive of business design, service design, marketing transformation and organisational change) allowing for data driven delivery of real time brands, campaigns, social strategies ( touchpoints based on client/business strategy and/or challenge).
Now, about the opportunity: In the Strategy Director position, you’ll work to translate client objectives into program deliverables. This is a role where you’ll need to successfully manage relationships with both external client stakeholders and internal agency teams as they work to bring strategies to life for one of the world’s biggest public and private sector accounts. Additionally, our ideal candidate is someone who can work autonomously, a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on new opportunities and isn’t afraid to provide their POV across our client portfolio. A leader with hands-on experience who is willing to lead and deliver as needed.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop program-level strategies and plans for marketing initiatives including lifecycle marketing based on data and persona mapping across digital, social, and platforms including customer journey maps and experience (physical spaces), content strategies, and an acute focus on KPI’s and ROI for our clients.
- Provide industry thought leadership to clients as well as recommendations for best practices and opportunities for improvement.
- Empowering client team and internal teams with frameworks, training and mentorship.
- Facilitate workshops with clients and their audiences to develop approaches to ensure not only broad but unique strategic approaches based on clients business needs.
- Identify opportunities and clearly communicate strategic recommendations both internally and to the client
- Lead the development of a governance structure and ways of working for the client’s senior client leadership.
- Think ahead beyond the on-going implementations and engagements, and provide the client with insights outlining where they need to be going next and how to get there
- You will work closely with the Business, Programme, and Account Directors to enable business planning and development to make sure targets and KPIs are met, identifying opportunities for new assignments that add value to all parties.
- Establish and grow a strong relationship with all client stakeholders and represent the relationship with other client agency partners
- You understand the regional culture and ways of working
Requirements:
- This senior role requires someone with 10+ years experience managing strategy across accounts covering digital transformation, social, data, and production capabilities
- With 5+ years in a lead role, you have a proven track record managing strategic initiatives for high-value and volumes of interdisciplinary work and delivery.
- You’re well versed at collaborating closely with creatives to inspire them in bringing ideas to life
- You’re comfortable presenting your thoughts and clearly articulating them to multiple senior stakeholders with the intention of onboarding them to the defined strategic direction
- You have extensive experience as part of a team producing proposals
- You are proactive in your approach to strategic initiatives, thinking ahead rather than becoming bogged down in the day to day programme initiatives
- You are an outgoing, sociable individual, ready and willing to socialize and be part of the team culture and spirit both within the monks and with clients
- To be successful in your role you believe in a consultative and collaborative approach to developing strategic initiatives. The attitude of “We are the consultants that do.”
- You’re a team player, bring a positive attitude, meeting challenges with resilience and leadership.
- You are experienced at working with teams dispersed across multiple countries / time zones
- Arabic as a first language is mandatory. A minimum of 5+ years experience in the UAE and/or KSA.
