Monks is hiring for a Human Resources Generalist (12 month fixed term contract but possibility of extension)
In this role you’ll handle a wide range of HR activities, including onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance. They provide day-to-day support to employees and managers, ensuring smooth HR operations and processes. You'll be working across multiple HR functions and hands-on role in implementing HR strategies. You will collaborate with our HRBPs in employee engagement, performance management, strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations aspects for our APAC offices - specifically AUNZ.
Responsibilities:
- Employee Life Cycle: Supporting on onboarding, offboarding and everything in between to ensure a smooth and engaging experience with Monks.
- Talent Management: Support the HRBP on talent management, performance management including growth conversations and training and development.
- DEI and Culture: Supporting engagement, onboarding and exit survey reporting and planning, and planning and executing DEI events in our offices.
- Employee Relations: Supporting HRBP in handling employee issues, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Compliance & Legal Requirements: Stay up-to-date with local labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance across all HR practices.
- Training & Development: Coordinate and training programs and workshops. Assist in organising, scheduling, drafting communications, surveying attendees.
- Policy & Documentation: Assist in drafting, revising, and distributing HR policies, procedures, and other related documents.
- Mobility: Assist in the international mobility and visa process.
- Payroll & Benefits: Collaborate with the finance team to process payroll and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- HR Projects: Participate in various global, regional and local HR initiatives.
About You
The essentials:
- Minimum of 4 years of working experience in human resources with a strong understanding on HR policies and practices, ideally with previous APAC exposure in HR
- Advanced English level required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, and ability to troubleshoot and connect our employees with appropriate HR resources in a global environment.
- Proficient in HRIS systems, preferably Workday
- Experience using Google Suite, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in FreshService and Monday.com preferred.
- Completion of a college program in HR, business administration, or other qualifying certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is nice to have.
